I agree Jackson was, in my opinion, our greatest president after Washington and I'm glad to see Nixon and Hoover get rehabilitated in some circles and I like Eisenhower, but I disagree with the Suez Crisis stance, we should've supported Britain and France. Yes, Israel is cringe, but Britain could've been possibly stronger ally to us and it was them and the French who built the Suez Canal, so they had a right to it.

Glad you liked it!

I somewhat agree that Britain keeping the Suez canal could have been useful, however they did this without telling us and tied our hands during the Hungarian revolution as well. Insofar that Britain is a junior partner to us that's fine, but when they go around our back to play superpower hurting our interests that isn't useful to us and their time was already up. Nasser himself would have made a more useful allie in the middle east in the 50s than Israel, France, or Britain. Although I do otherwise sympathize with the Europeans, especially since they built the canal.

A good list, but I also like McKinley, TR(suboptimal in office but a fantastic personality), Cleveland, Fillmore, Buchanan(despite rumors), Pierce, and Harding(despite being a journo).

I like Taft better than McKinley and TR, although I’m comparatively ignorant on the rest. I have another list.

Nixon got rid of the international gold standard to prevent France from cashing in on Fort Knox, FDR had already gotten rid of it for American citizens and JFK got rid of the silver standard. Nixon got a temporary victory in the Vietnam War, NV signed the Paris Peace accords on our terms after Line Backer 2. After Nixon resigned the Dem controlled congress refused to honor our agreement with SV to send aid when NV broke the agreement.

Rockefeller was cringe, he was recommended by the liberals under Nixon to Ford because they were cringe, and the conservatives to try and beat Ford in 1976, he dumped him in the primary for Dole who was better.

Thank you though glad you otherwise liked it!

Do you have a replacement for the gold standard to curb down on inflation?

Do I? Not really. I’m told by a banking friend fiat currency is covered by productivity, so there has to be gains in some way otherwise it devalues. Not inherently bad but when we don’t have any gains it is or when it is put before the nation, ex importing foreigners to cover it. I was told the gold standard (or similar) is more stable for the average nation. With that in mind under Nixon it didn’t matter as American citizens already were on fiat currency before him, and inflation was under way before him. He tried price controls but it appears to have kept climbing but that’s still debated today and beyond my understanding. My take away is that the economy should serve the nation, not the other way around.

Not a bad idea! Although I'd have a lot more research to do for some.

I have a second list that includes the rest of the presidents. I don't think he's terrible but he's famous for doing little as president, some see this as a good thing but my list skews for activity.
